Acharyas

Acharya Swami Bhagavatananda Saraswati grew up with a fierce sense of social justice and service to the community. In 1993 he started a school, Sandeepany Vidya Mandir in Lathikata, (near Rourkela) an area with a high Tribal population and low literacy rates. Later he joined Suddhananda Swamiji in Chennai and was then sent to Pujya Swami Sri Dayananda Saraswati in Arsha Vidya Gurukulam, Coimbatore. In Rishikesh he took sanyass from Pujya Swami Sri Dayananda Saraswati. He is steeped in the Sanatan Arsha parampara. Swamiji is also dedicated to the people of Odisha and preservation of its unique cultural values.
